Tillandsia, commonly known as air plants, are spotted everywhere I turn here at Greenstems. Some are big with thick leaves while others are small and wispy, but whatever their size, you can’t help but be drawn to their interesting form and lively shape. The y are show-stoppers that can turn an ordinary arrangement into a conversation piece.

As you would think, air plants gather moisture and nutrients from air rather than soil, so a healthy, moist environment is necessary for survival. They love to be misted once a week and dunked once a month. Super easy to care for and super delightful to look at, how could you not fall in love…..

One of the creative ways we are doing this is by carrying a select number of beautiful bud vases that when you purchase from us can be done up with a stunning floral design, and then going forward need only to house one or a few stems and be just as beautiful as a simple composition. This allows you to then come back and visit us to pick up those few select stems and watch the season as it changes with your new floral piece. They are a bit of an investment initially – but we feel are absolutely worth it in the long run.
